Pertaining to a maxilla.

maxillary artery - arteria maxillaris.
Origin: external carotid artery.
Branches: pterygoid rami, and deep auricular, anterior tympanic, inferior alveolar, middle meningeal, masseteric, deep temporal, buccal, posterior superior alveolar, infraorbital, descending palatine, sphenopalatine, and the artery of the pterygoid canal.
Distribution: both jaws, teeth, muscles of mastication, ear, meninges, nose, nasal sinus, palate. Called also arteria maxillaris interna and internal maxillary artery .
