Sudoriferous or sweat gland: one of the glands that secrete sweat, situated in the corium or subcutaneous tissue, and opening by a duct on the surface of the body. There are two types: the ordinary or eccrine sweat glands and the apocrine sweat glands . Called also sudoriparous gland .
