NDI Patients and Parents

This section is designed for patients, families, and others without medical training who are looking for clear, reliable information about Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus (NDI). You don’t need to take everything in at once. These resources are here to help you get started and find what’s most useful right now.

You’ll find Frequently Asked Questions with answers from NDI clinicians and researchers in the U.S. and Europe, covering topics like health care, medication, diet, and daily management. Our Nutrition Guidelines offer practical help with the NDI diet, including low-sodium food choices, label-reading tips, and recipe resources.

We also provide Medical Alert Cards, developed with physicians on our Scientific Review Board and available in 10 languages, for patients to carry in case of emergency. Parents and patients are encouraged to participate in our survey, which helps researchers and clinicians improve understanding, care, and treatment of NDI.

If you’d like to explore further, our Facts & Statistics section offers an introduction to NDI, including diagnosis, treatment, and history. Our Research section includes a large collection of abstracts and articles, along with plain-language explanations and a linked terminology dictionary to make complex information easier to understand. You’ll also find a Researcher Directory and a Links section with help locating physicians, support, and trusted health resources.

We hope these materials help you feel more informed and supported as you learn about NDI.
